Extensive
trading links with Newfoundland were developed in the seventeenth and
eighteenth centuries that helped Poole to prosper. Many fine examples of
architecture built by the wealthy merchants at this time can still be
seen in Old Poole Town today.

became renowned for pirates and smugglers who walked, fought, drank and
ate at the many inns, restaurants and streets that can still be
frequented today.
Other

Pottery, with 125 years of pottery heritage infamous world wide can be
visited at Poole Quay, Poole Park which holds a variety of events
throughout the year including Poole Park Fest and Upton Country park a
